SMH Manufacturing and Industrial Services Co. Ltd., a leading provider of Rotating Equipment Maintenance and Repairs based in Jubail, Saudi Arabia, has opened a facility for manufacturing and distribution of spare parts for turbo machinery equipment in the industrial city of Jubail.
The facility was inaugurated by Dr Ahmed Bin Zaid Al Hussein, CEO of Royal Commission of Jubail and Yanbu, in the presence of Shin Nippon Machinery Company (SNM) President and CEO Sakoda Hirotaka, SMH President and CEO Fahad Eid Al Qahtani and Managing Director/Investor Mohammed Shafeeq.
Hirotaka said his company Shin Nippon Machinery is looking forward to the productive manufacturing of OEM spare parts for SNM Pumps and Turbines in Saudi Arabia through SMH company.
“We shall assemble the pumps and turbines soon in Saudi Arabia to support the industry,” he said.
Mohamed Shafeeq said: “We are here in this industry serving for almost 12 years and it is our privilege to start spare parts manufacturing for turbo machinery equipment. There is also an upcoming plan to assemble pumps and turbines in Saudi Arabia to support the industry. SNM and SMH have already initiated a joint venture agreement for the Middle East office to support and provide services to the Middle East Region customers.”
He said SMH is discussing with some of the other manufacturers to start manufacturing in the Kingdom.
“We are here to facilitate them for local manufacturing and bringing more technology to support the industry and government vision. This will be our commitment to Royal Commission and the government.”
He added: “ Localizing the parts is one of our Saudi Vision 2030 strategies. We are happy to align with the government vision and encouraging Saudi national opportunity. We plan to maintain 70% of Saudiazation which is another government vision by employing more Saudi nationals. They will be given advanced technical training and facilitating good work environment.”
